Learn to surf at Widemouth Bay Bude

Why surf at Widemouth Bay?

Widemouth Bay is very close to Bude but tends to be much less crowded than on the Bude town beaches and also in the sea.
Widemouth bay is great for surfing lessons because it is a wide sandy bay as the name describes (wide mouth bay) approximately 1.5 miles long although not all of that is sand some is rock bed.
The ocean floor its self is very flat so this produces spilling crumbly waves that are perfect for surf school.
It is a true gem with amazing views south to Millook and Dizzard points. This stretch of the Cornish coast is steeped in smuggling history.
